A film franchise such as Star Wars stands out as a top movie. If it is a not a real movie, then it is a fan exercise. We can say its purpose is to tread on deep water, in a familiar pool. Some of the moments, which we crackle are touchpoints on things we recognize in Rogue One full movie. Sequences in this film are quite intriguing and simply adequate. Unlike the last year release: The Force Awakens, there is a recognizable and clear section for dashing out. It is simply an action movie for the movie buffs.
I am also a fan of this movie and there comes a time when I do not care whether others are bored. This is probably the first in an endless of Star Wars Stories. The action sides with Rebels as you could expect. This time, good guys are not tousled rascals but a group of self-described spies, assassins, and saboteurs staining their consciences and hands in this struggle.
Structure and atmosphere
Rogue one may not be nostalgic as compared to The Force Awakens. However, Star Wars devotees, some of them do not even exist, the movie is filled with callbacks and cameos. This gives the movie the original trilogy, which makes several viewings a necessity. For instance, Peter Cushing resurrects digitally from nowhere, and he is the best character for the procedure.
Rogue One is the promise of familiar things. Director, Gareth Edwards and his crew strike a great balance throughout. For instance, the former technologist for the Empire Galen Erso is captured by the defense leader. The leader wants to use his expertise to craft the Imperial super-weapon. Galen is hidden unseen planet known as Lahmu. The planet has a blackened desert and green hills. It is shroded in a thick mist. The planet appears like what you have not seen in Star Wars before.
Then there is Jyn Erso, daughter of Galen. She was raised by Rebels and comes out to the main lead character. The team is quite tricky to assemble, and storytelling appears multi-branched and threads up. For sometime, a scene passes without another person being kidnapped. Also, there is yarn-spinning intimacy – an old story told around an amazing campfire. Thus, Star Wars – Rogue One is one of the action sci-fi movies ever released. Even though it may be the previous releases, it is a great film to watch.
